Retail Cool Roof Gallery
Smaller commercial, retail roof—very busy with AC ducts. Roof was leaking throughout and poorly repaired over the years. A new cool roof system was installed as well as waterproofing all ducts joints.
Tar and gravel commercial roof was leaking throughout. All loose gravel was removed then applied a waterproofing membrane: 2 ply reinforcing fabrics and asphaltic emulsion. After membrane was cured we applied 2 coats of commercial grade white elastomeric roof coating.
LOS ANGELES—This retail building had open beam ceilings. Re-roofing would have required removal of the old roofs. The amount of dust and debris that would have filtered into the store would have been very problematic, ruining merchandise and having to close the store down. This was unacceptable to the business and an alternate long-term, leak-free solution was needed. A cool roof system was the answer.
PASO ROBLES CA — This building has a metal standing seam roof. It was leaking and the retail business was suffering from the summer time heat to the point of closing down the shop some afternoons because the heat build up inside was that unbearable for the tenants. We came in and repaired all the leaking problems, installed some simple vents, did a thorough cleaning and applied 3 coats of white elastomeric roof coating. The roof is leak free, the heat problem was totally resolved (see testimonials) from the reflective coatings.
SAN FRANCISCO — This office building was getting to the end of its service life with more and more yearly repairs showing up. The owner understood that a re-roof was coming and knew how expensive it could be with poor write-off. A roof restoration was completed giving the owner a roof service life of approximately 20 years, a long term warranty, much better building maintenance/repair write-off as well as the cool roofing benefits.
LOS ANGELES — This retail building has a roof which is almost 30-years old and the reason it looks the way it does is because the building owners started elastomeric roof coatings many years ago and would refresh the elastomeric coating about every 7 to 10 years. I see no end in sight for this roof if they keep up with the coatings as they have been and of course, “keeping me in-charge of the coatings”.
